Riana works with both adolescents and adults using the Bonny
Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). She is also a Reiki and
Tachyon practitioner and furthermore works in the theatre as
singer/actress. She facilitates voice workshops and teaches
teenagers. Riana believes in the power of music to facilitate
energy shifts and to tap into the subconscious, allowing
healing to manifest.

Diane has a Bachelor of Music degree and spent many years as a
percussionist with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra. She has
taught pre-school music and has presented music workshops for
teachers. She has a special interest in the therapeutic value
of the creative arts and has completed a course in process art
in which she facilitates classes and individual work. She also

Carol Lotter is the Co-ordinator of the Music Therapy Training
Programme and BMus (Hons) Music Communication, at the
University of Pretoria. She has a private practice working
with both adults and children, employing both conventional
Music Therapy techniques, as well as GIM techniques. Carol is
currently involved in community work, as a music therapist, at
a Psychiatric Hospital. Her special interest is in working with
couples.

Liesl completed her Masters degree in Music Therapy at the
University of Pretoria in 2003. She is a registered music
therapist with the HPCSA. She is doing music therapy work at a
school for learners with autism and she's facilitating adult
groups at a private psychiatric hospital. She often presents
workshops and lectures in the field and presented a paper on
music therapy and autism at the international autism conference
in Cape Town in 2006. Additionally she is a piano teacher and
often performs with artists as accompanist both in the
classical and commercial music industry. Her special interest
is autism and adult psychiatry.

Karen is a classically trained vocalist. She works with
vocalisation and expression with severely disabled,
institutionalised clients. Her passion is to work through
blockages in the voice apparatus to restore balance and
expression. She is currently combining Vocal Toning (Sound

facilitate expression towards health.

Chris de Wet acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Music 1998. He is
currently performing in different settings and genres as a
pianist. Since he is doing research on the effect of Guided
Imagery and Music on Anxiety, he finds himself in the fortunate
position to combine his two passions in life, namely music and
psychiatry. This forms part of his Clinical Master's Degree in
Psychiatric Nursing. In practice he also applies Gestalt
Therapeutic techniques and follows the Gestalt therapeutic
process. Chris intends to work with people who have
experienced abuse in various kinds of relationships, in order
that they may be guided to self actualization and healing.
